WE ARE NOT A CRISIS RESPONSE SERVICE.
If you’ve got an urgent concern, if you’re at risk or experiencing a crisis, you should contact your GP, the NHS 111 service, the GP out of hours service, the NHS or The Samaritans on 116 123.
You’ll also find a collection of crisis response information on the NHS website.
How much does treatment cost?
We charge £70 per session for private clients seeking CBT and EMDR treatment. We ask for payment before your session starts. For insurers and other referrers, please get in touch to discuss with us further. And we’ll charge an additional fee if you need us to write letters or clinical reports. We understand life can be very busy therefore we do offer telephone or secure video conferencing appointments to suit your requirements.
What if I need to cancel?
We’ll always need 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or move a session. If you don’t let us know in time, we’ll need to charge you for the missed session.
How long does a session last?
We offer all our clients an initial call so we can work out if CBT or any other treatments is the best fit for you.
After that, your first visit usually lasts an hour. In that session, you can check you’re going to feel comfortable talking to us while giving us a chance to understand a bit more about your personal condition.
Your regular sessions will last between 50-60 minutes.
Do you have parking?
Yes - we do have free parking.
Do you have disabled access?
No - the building is not designed for disabled access.
What are your working hours?
We offer face-to-face and phone / secure video appointments. It’s probably easier to give us a call and we can work out the best plan for you. And if for whatever reason we can’t help, we’ll probably know someone who can.
Do you take referrals from private health insurers?
Yes – we do. We’re registered with a number of insurance agencies including AXA PPP, WPA, BUPA and Aviva Health. If you have private healthcare that will fund your treatment, you’ll need to contact them first to make sure you’ve got all the right information. And when you come to us, please bring your reference numbers.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No – you don’t need a GP referral. You can ‘self-refer’ to our service.
What other services do you provide?
Alongside our therapies, we offer a range of other services including workplace mental health assessments, reporting writing, occupational mental health services, training, and clinical supervision for CBT and EMDR.
Get in touch, and we’ll be happy to answer any questions.
